Resolved Question: Confused about applications for UC BERKELEY and college! Please Help!?!?!?

This fall, I'll be applying to universitites as an Undergraduate. I want to major in mechanical engineering. BUT I don't know whether I apply to a specific program as an undergraduate OR I just apply to the university as a whole? In other words, when I apply to UC Berkeley, am I applying with ONLY engineer majors or am I applying with all of the doctors, liberal arts majors, history majors, etc?
