Okay, I'm going to be a senior soon and I have absolutely no idea where I want to go for college. I have it narrowed down to about 8 or 9 schools, but out of those, I haven't got a clue. While it is true that people do value the MIT, Cal Tech, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Duke, Cornell undergraduates more than maybe the top state schools like University of Florida or UGA I think it is probably better to go to a state school comparable to UF or UGA and get a high GPA 3.5-3.7 as opposed to... High School GPA I graduated with was a 3.6 at an academically difficult high school.
